Must haves: 1) Snowflake Experience 2) Experience de-bugging code and performing root-cause analysis 3) Experience leading teams of admin/devs Responsibilities: Participates in the development, improvement and maintenance of database applications both as an individual contributor and as a team member. Designs batch cycle procedures on major projects using scripting and Control M. Performs functional analysis for major projects supporting several organization wide initiatives. Acts as an expert technical resource across functional organizations and monitors performance of project plans. Performs independent technical analysis, debugging and troubleshooting. Performs code and unit testing for complex scope modules, and projects. Serves as a technical resource across the teams. Skills Required: Knowledge of database engineering and design 5 years of Solid programming skills in database development Ability to implement Snowflake At least 3 years of development experience with Java or Python or Spark Experience reading and interpreting physical data models Knowledge of DBMS optimizer and performance tuning techniques Experience with CI/CD pipeline and SDLC in an Agile environment

  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring the Snowflake platform
  • Evolving, scaling, productizing, and supporting the Data Pipeline around Snowflake (making it more efficient where possible)
  • Troubleshooting and debugging, often in collaboration with various internal teams, and also our other data customers within the organization
  • Performing root cause analyses and proposing and/or implementing appropriate engineering solutions to prevent or mitigate recurring incidents
