Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.comSummary:In this role, you will provide engineering support to safely complete assigned tasks on time while following specific procedures and processes to perform the required testing. Responsibilities:
Design/set-up/perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications and requirements
Perform daily maintenance and calibration of equipment and tooling to ensure operational availability and functionality
Examine components according to specified standards and repair units or products that do not meet the requirements
Perform and assist with calibration of equipment and preventive maintenance of test equipment
Collaborate with engineers in designing or setting up test procedures
Ensure equipment is working properly and able to test the performance of prototypes, new, and existing cells
Summarize test results using Microsoft Excel and Word
Collaborate with test engineers to review results and document any irregularities or inconsistencies
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues encountered during testing and assembly
Provide meaningful and accurate data to the engineers
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
1 to 3+ years of experience as a test technician and/or possessing an Associate Degree or higher in the battery field
Experience with instrumentation and data collection
Skills:
Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team
Proficient in MS Office Suite
