Wine & Spirits Experience Only: Open and Close a Wine Store!

Seeking Experienced Associate for Weekend shifts … in high-volume Wine & Spirits Store.

Saturday+ 1 more day shift available for a knowledgeable person who can watch the store, do basic stocking, assist customers, protect the inventory, and handle running/closing the POS & register system. Approximately 16-18 hours per week (consistent) with the ability to pick up other shifts on a coverage basis.

Qualifications:

Experience in NYC retail Wine & Liquor stores

Solid fundamental Wine & Spirits knowledge - this will be tested

Ability to operate store & POS system, handle the store solo or with other employees.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Minimum 1 year experience in a NYC-volume Wine & Spirits retail store.

Ability/comfortability working independently & alone as well with others.

Excellent communication skills & customer service presence/poise -cool under pressure

Availability to work full shifts Saturdays & Sundays (approximately 18 hours per week)

Ability to lift 40 pounds (wine cases)

Fundamental wine & spirits knowledge

Job Duties:

Providing exceptional customer service to customers

Answer varied questions about wine & spirits products to assist guest selection

Maintaining orderliness & efficiency at the register… speedy & no cash mistakes!

Stocking shelves, moving wine cases, sweeping/vacuuming/dusting as needed

Be street smart Vigilant against shoplifters, vagrants, “hustling” customers etc.

Work within our existing 3-person team sometimes too!

Helpful skills:

Familiarity with Square Retail POS system

Wine skills certification

Desire for ultra-stable, well-paid weekend job

Pay: $20-23 hour (flexible based on candidate experience)
