Role Description The team works on keeping Maps Data current and reflective of real world changes. They work on issues submitted by end users of Maps or tests the location results of user queries submitted via Search (Web) or Maps interface. The Policy and Documentation Specialist will be responsible for developing new policies or suggesting changes to existing policies based on feedback from operators or direction from the Policy team. They need to have familiarity with Geodata systems in general and data modelling policies. They are expected to display critical thinking, analytical skills, high attention to detail, technical writing and strong communication skills. Role & Responsibilities ? Understand intent behind policies, constraints, and relationships with data models and workflows, and find optimization opportunities toward improving accuracy & minimizing misinterpretation of policies through simplification and clarity of policy documents. ? Document and prioritize suggested clarifications and optimization of existing policy. ? Research and draft high quality documentation that can aid the Policy Core Team when a new policy is being developed. ? Transfer approved policies into the internal tools and publish policies to the relevant Knowledge Bases. ? Conduct data analytics to measure the need and impact of a policy and the frequency of application. ? Resolve policy clarifications raised by various teams via forum requests ? Work with the operations team to identify / develop key policy gaps and suggest potential resolutions / updates ? Participate in policy change discussions with the client - create training materials for any changes / updates ? Should coordinate and undertake research, analysis and reviews associated with relevant policy issues, identify emerging issues and support the delivery team Experience / Skills ? 2+ years of experience ? High school graduate or equivalent ? Technological savviness - able to quickly understand Maps, Mapmaker related products which are technical in nature ? Comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment ? Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail ? Resolve disputes raised by operations team and work effectively with all related stakeholders ? Should possess good analytical and research skills, and be able to think beyond the norm ?
