An Integration Engineer at ATG plays a critical role in the larger project team by designing, developing and implementing iPaaS software which allows our customers to sync critical data through the use of API's, Database connections and pre-built connectors. Integration Engineers are involved with all phases of the ATG Project lifecycle, which include; gathering user/business requirements, responding to changing requirements and producing well documented Integration data maps and process diagrams. This role works closely with customers, internal functional managers, business system analysts, system architects and platform developers in creating robust, scalable and flexible integration solution for the customer's business systems. What are some of the responsibilities of an Integration Engineer?

  • Participate in discovery sessions with project teams to understand integration requirements needed to support solution implementations.
  • Work collaboratively with a project and client team in an agile environment to support our cloud initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients to generate data mapping documents between target and source systems.
  • Work with system specific developers and experts (example: Salesforce Apex Dev) to understand how data is passed into and out of each applicable system.
  • Hands on development build of Enterprise Integrations using iPaaS tools such as:
    • MuleSoft
    • Dell Boomi
    • Jitterbit
    • Informatica Cloud
  • Assist project Architects and Leads with prototyping, design and build of Integration Processes which follows industry best practices
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams internally and at customer sites.
What are the minimum requirements to be an Integration Engineer?
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field highly desired.
What other skills, knowledge and qualifications are needed to be an Integration Engineer?
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Capability to take on tasks with little direction, and produce high-value deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills - ability to work with technical and non-technical users, other departments, and clients
  • Organization skills - ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross-functional and cross vendor teams, and deliver to aggressive timelines.
  • Comfortable working remotely with clients and project teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are required to compliment the technical aptitude necessary to learn new platforms and tools
  • An understanding of how API's work and the ability to develop, test and document your own API's
  • Experience with multiple data structures such as XML and JSON
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Java, C, C#) and/or scripting (Python, Perl, PHP)
What other skills, knowledge and qualifications are desired in an Integration Engineer?
  • Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment desired
  • Previous build/development experience in an iPaaS technology such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit or Informatica Cloud
  • Experience working in or around configuration/administration in Salesforce, and development on the force.com platform.
  • Experience integrating with various Salesforce products.
  • Applied work experience in architecture, design, implementation and deployment of cloud (iPaaS) products and solutions within medium to large environments.
This position may require additional time and effort necessary during periods of heavy workload in order to meet project milestones and implementation deadlines. Hours and compensation for this position will vary depending on projects and experience.
