We are seeking a Product Assurance Manager with a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study. What to look forward to: As a Product Assurance Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of our products and production equipment. You'll be responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining our quality control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished materials or finished product. You'll test, inspect, and audit the precision and accuracy of our products and production equipment to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications. - Lead the transformation and rebuilding of the SNC Corporate Product Assurance effort as it transitions from a quality control based environment to a quality-engineering environment focused on improving quality and reducing costs.
- Team with Digital Transformation teams to provide and ensure successful integration of Quality requirements.
- Lead problem solving and continuous improvement events to optimize and improve support to Business Areas and programs.
- Establish quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers.
- Maintain oversight of Product Assurance requirements for supplier standards and Quality by studying manufacturing and engineering requirements; conferring and negotiating with suppliers; devising testing methods and procedures and manages the Approved Vendors List.
- Establish in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods; devising testing methods and procedures.
- Establish standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures. Ensuring the suitability and maintenance of monitoring and measuring resources
- Establish rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
- Establish product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures by adhering to industry best practices and new ways of thinking.
- Maintain product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
- Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Determine, identify and optimize the Cost of Quality
- Ensure the suitability and maintenance of monitoring and measuring resources
- Ensure efficient systems are maintained for measurement traceability
- Provide oversight and improvement to SNC Product Assurance Command Media requirements
- Provide leadership and oversight for the Nonconforming Material Management Process
- BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Technical
- 10 + years Quality Experience in A&D field
- 5+ years Quality Engineering Exp using advanced Quality tools
- 5+ yrs Quality Management & Continuous Improvement Exp
- 5 + years DoD Experience
- Critical thinker with effective interpersonal skills to negotiate creative solutions for complex compliance challenges involving multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards
- Ability to understand and interpret technical electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists and test procedures
- A problem-solver that uses new ways of thinking to solve difficult problems using a structured 8D methodology and other advanced quality tools and practices
- ASQ Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Experience with FAA requirements
- CMMI Experience
