The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing and leading the Inventory Control teams to attain company goals in delivery, cost and asset controls. The manager will instill a proactive team culture to develop the workforce to be flexible and responsive while implementing lean principles.
Responsibilities· Responsible for wall to wall inventory accuracy to include transactional soundness.· Lead the cycle counting program to ensure a high level of accuracy.· Partner with internal customers to achieve company goals.· Identify areas for improvement utilizing root cause analysis and problem solving, as well as other lean principles· Oversee the development and growth of the team within the inventory control organization through mentoring, coaching, evaluation, feedback through positive reinforcement· Manages the integrity of inventory data within JDE (or like ERP system)· Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley Key Controls are effective, as well as properly documented, tested and reported on a timely basis Qualifications Required Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and 5 years in Materials Management experience or equivalent combination in leading and managing manufacturing/supply chain organizations· Strong leadership and people management capabilities with cross-functional organizational effectiveness· Advanced MS Office computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)· Proficient with MRP or ERP system· Possess up-to-date knowledge of supply chain methodologies; would be considered an expert in the materials management field· Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing business goals· Must be able to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals· Ability to travel among various. locations and vendors/suppliers· Strong background in a Lean Manufacturing environmentPreferred Qualifications:· JD Edwards and JDA business systems experience· Certification in Supply Chain Management or currently pursuing· Demonstrated Project Management skills· Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environmentVacancy expired!
