Our client in the Newark, DE area is looking for a Telecom Procurement Analyst to join their growing team. They are in the process of starting a big project and will be very busy in the coming months - they are looking for someone who is team-oriented and will work with the team to start making an immediate impact. This is a permanent position by way of contract to hire.

Position Description:The Telecom Coordinator will be responsible for working with other departments to procure telecommunication circuits for both company use, and primarily, customer premise use. Works closely with internal Project Managers to ensure circuits are installed and delivered on time and within scope of the overall project.
  • Source connectivity for customer premise locations using all available methods.
  • Accurately quote pricing and serviceability options to NAMs, sales reps, project managers, etc.
  • Accurately maintain records of circuits ordered and status of ongoing projects.
  • Provides information to internal departments in regard to circuits (i.e. circuit IDs, account numbers, etc.)
  • Maintains an outstanding working relationship with telecom vendors and carriers.
  • Assists telecom billing department with billing disputes with vendors.
  • Is available after-hours as needed to resolve end user issues.
  • Assists in the processing of telecom invoices and reconciliation.
  • Assists in the procurement of telecom services beyond customer premise locations.
  • Reconciles customer premise connection charges to Mastermind and contract recurring lines.
  • Assists management in resolving inquiries concerning charges to their budget.
  • Assists in maintaining telecommunication accounting records, documents and databases.
  • Creates and responds to written business correspondence with telecommunication vendors, carriers and regulatory agencies as required by enterprise manager.
  • Supports and performs Telecommunications projects as assigned by enterprise manager.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge in telecommunications services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and a proficiency in using Computer and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), and Internet.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable or telecommunications billing is preferred.
  • Experience in project management/project coordination.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications is necessary.
  • Special skills in project management, time management, organization, multi-tasking and detailed accounting analysis are needed for this position.
  • Excellent time management, use of planning and forward-thinking skills and decision-making skills.
