Our client in Wilmington, DE is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. This is a 4-9+ month contract role with a very well-known organization. This has an extremely high likelihood of extending well into 2021 and has the possibility of converting to a permanent position. This position will start remote from home. Candidates must be local enough to come into the office at least 3 days a week post Covid.
Position Description:- Meeting the business stakeholders along with Business Analysts to understand business processes
- Analyzing the data in the source transactional systems
- Creating the source data analysis document
- Mapping of data from source to target
- Documenting the business rules for data transformation
- Working closely with Data Modeler and ETL developers responding to their questions
- Work with QA testers responding to their questions
- Help troubleshoot data anomalies and issues
- Support data governance
- Understanding of reporting, preferably using Power BI
- Write Complex SQL Queries
- Excellent communicator who can work well with the business users to identify what data should be mapped for a specific project
- Strong understanding of reporting with reporting tools
- Experience writing complex SQL Queries
- Strong experience in the following: Data Analysis, SQL, Database Concepts and Documentation
- BA skills are important since they will be working with Business SMEs in analyzing the data, data flow, etc.
- Having the ability to understand the business process is also important.
