Apex has an opportunity for a Production Support Engineer in Portland, ME (will be remote). This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position and the pay rate is flexible depending on experience. Monitor apps in production 2. Troubleshoot any issues to get apps back up & running if they come down 3. Investigate any unexpected behavior of apps (tickets) 4. Take calls from both external customers & development teams 5. On Call rotation 24 x 7 x 2 weeks Required Skills: 1. SQL proficiency 2. Experience with Production/Application Support 3. Experience working in a cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform or AWS) 4. Strong customer service skills 5. Self starter, well spoken, investigative nature, always asking the "stupid questions" Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): 1. Scripting experience, won't write code but need to be able to read/understand (Java/Angular) 2. Basic networking skills (SSH, port forwarding, etc) 3. Help Desk background (degree not required Additional Requirements: Candidates may be subject to background check and drug test.
