We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Product Manager with our industry-leading client in Reston, VA.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain product backlog with detailed feature descriptions (1 year) and general feature descriptions (2-3 years)
  • Identify dependencies and work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX/UI and Solutions Architects, and other extend to coordinate product design and development efforts
  • Work cross-organizational with the Enrollment, Claims, EIS/EDP, and other groups as-needed to address dependencies and ensure timely product delivery
  • Lead the efforts to define a deep Product Backlog by working closely with the team of business analysts, architects, technical SMEs, and business owners
  • Use the Product Vision and Roadmap to develop Epics and Features, and work with Business Analysts to create User Stories that accurately reflect the desired product capabilities
  • Build a product backlog, and review with business owners to determine business value and assign priority
  • Actively engage Plans to build interest in adopting FEPOC Customer Service tools, and be the primary liaison for communicating Plan requirements
  • Determine the acceptance criteria and have authority to accept or reject development team deliverables. This position is accountable for the success of the product or component under their purview
  • Define the Minimally Marketable Release (MMR) and the Minimal Viable Products (MVP) associated with the Program Increments
  • Work with the Scrum Masters to schedule the grooming sessions with the scrum teams
  • Provide guidance and necessary inputs from business perspective to the scrum teams during the grooming sessions
  • Lead discussions regarding technical challenges/hurdles to business owners and helps communicate resolutions to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Follow and evangelize the FEPOC Agile playbook and process at the FEPOC to support Agile product delivery
  • Conduct Program Increment and/or Release planning sessions with business owners to understand the business priorities for the upcoming product iteration
  • Plan and conduct release planning sessions with the internal scrums teams to share the Product Roadmap and business priorities for the upcoming release/iteration
  • Participate in daily scrum stand-ups as required, and, as time permits, other Agile ceremonies
  • Conduct product demonstrations and/or reviews after each Sprint as-needed, and for stakeholders (e.g. Plans) to promote the product
  • Provide input and feedback to Product Manager and business owners on the strategic business roadmap based on customer input, empirical data, and industry knowledge
  • Work closely with Lead PO and Product Manager to promote product and achieve market success as defined by product adoption
  • Guides business analysts on how to break down the MVP into the User Stories and writing effective User Stories
  • Provides input to the Scrum Masters on improvement opportunities with grooming sessions
  • Engage with business stake holders on as-needed basis to educate, learn and provide input to support/improve Agile delivery
  • Provide input and champion Agile process improvement initiatives based on team/external feedback
  • Support culture change to improve delivery agility
  • Provide coaching to team members who are new to Scrum and Agile practices
  • Support Team building and Team development by utilizing the abilities and skills of individuals, and fostering a feedback culture
  • Mentors lower level Product Owners to ensure their success

Requirements:
  • 8-11 Years Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent work experience is required
  • Extension IT and business experience in planning, technical design/development, implementation, and maintenance of systems; preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms
  • Previous product owner experience in a dynamic high-technology environment
  • Ability to understand future product needs and influence their prioritization with all stakeholders, sot that the scrum team can execute them
  • Ability to make timely product decisions to ensure smooth flow of work into delivery teams
  • Experience working with agile delivery teams
  • Comfortable working with and leading multiple Scrum teams
  • Experience in Health insurance domain is key
  • Process flow centric knowledge around health claims and benefits is a plus
  • Information System Product Management experience (which could include consulting) with state-of-the-art hardware and software systems is desirable
  • Deep understanding and experience of web technologies, user experience modeling/evolution etc.
  • Understanding of mobile technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle and the Project Management Lifecycle.
  • Business savviness and ability to discover the potential business and product opportunities
  • Experience with Product Roadmap development and influencing key stake holder s for buy in on business priorities
  • Experience in working with Product Management and business stakeholders to define, articulate, and execute on product strategies consistent with organizational goals
