Loan Clerk I
Summary Primary responsibility is to see that all non-real estate loans are funded and booked as approved by the Loan Officer or the appropriate Loan Committee, and in compliance with the Bank’s Loan Policy, as well as applicable state and federal lending regulations. Essential Functions
Assists customers and loan officers as needed.
Opens and processes note department mail.
Answers telephone calls directed to Note Department.
Utilizes imaging system.
Keeps all files in order, including pending, image, and note jacket.
Review imaged loan documents for quality of and/or missing documents.
Tracks required loan documents.
Processes loan payments and advances.
Process closing documentation using the loan documentation platform.
Assist with reviewing of closing loan documentation, as needed.
Verifies the collateral lien is secured by establishing holds on deposit accounts, preparing and filing title transfers, or filing UCCs with the state to include continuations, and amendments.
Prepares entries to be posted (GL tickets, online posting).
Performs any necessary file maintenance on core system.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the Internet, and 10-key calculator required
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with Core System, Imaging System, and loan documentation platform preferred

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma/GED
Bank experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
Requires corrected hearing in normal range of effective communication via telephone and alarms
Must be able to speak English
May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time
May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
