Accounting Analyst (Flex Office/Home)

Position Compensation Range:Pay Rate Type:SalaryCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.The Accounting Analyst processes billing and receivable transactions and completes reconciliations of the various cash payments received by the company. You will provide additional and on-going support as a new receivable system is implemented and the company continues to grow. You will participate in the financial statement close process as needed, to include preparing journal entries, financial reports, and reconciliations. You will report to the Director, Technical AccountingPrimary Accountabilities

You will support the completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings for multiple companies via preparation of assigned quarterly and annual statutory financial statement pages/schedules.

You will assist with the analysis of account balances and income statement activity in response to requests from various state departments.

You will assume ownership of the annual state form filings for multiple states and companies.

You will aid with requests from various state departments, communicating with them directly as needed.

You will coordinate with other departments to timely obtain necessary information.

You will assist with the unclaimed property escheatment process.

You will help with gathering and reconciling tax related balances.

You will support with remitting tax payments and coordinating with our tax vendors.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

Demonstrated experience in communicating financial information.

Demonstrated experience managing/leading projects.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of and demonstrated experience utilizing complex concepts related to accounting and accounting systems.

Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets utilizing complex functions and formulas.

Solid knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, budget and forecasting techniques or internal controls.

Demonstrated experience writing accounting memorandums on complex accounting issues and business transactions and summarizing conclusions for a non-technical audience.
