Office Manager
Description Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager in Cheektowaga, NY. As an Office Manager, your role will be centered on ensuring efficient operations within the office. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ranging from processing payroll and invoices, maintaining records, to handling office supplies, and assisting with dispatching technicians.Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Accurately process in-house payroll for all employees via Excel
Ensure timely payment and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Maintain payroll records and resolve any discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable:
Manage invoicing, billing, and collection processes.
Track and reconcile accounts receivable.
Communicate with clients regarding outstanding payments.
Proposal Creation:
Assist in creating and preparing proposals for potential projects.
Collaborate with the project management team to gather necessary information.
Human Resources:
Assist with light HR functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Coordinate with external HR consultants as needed.
Office Management:
Oversee daily office operations and ensure a smooth workflow.
Maintain office supplies and equipment.
Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
Proficiency in payroll software and accounting systems.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information:
Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000, based on experience and qualifications.
