Lead Tech, Maintenance
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains the facilities maintenance of Universal Orlando buildings and completes specific work orders, including, but not limited to, masonry, tile, pavers, and woodwork. Handles daily trouble calls from the dispatcher. Completes special projects and other shop work as directed by the supervisor or the lead. Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of department and employees by performing the following duties:MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and delegates work tasks. Delegates work assignments among qualified crewmembers. Communicates performance expectations in an effort to ensure proper completion of tasks. Communicates and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed. Communicates resource needs and work plans to Supervision. Provides two-way communications between work team, supervisor, and other management and HR personnel.
Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; reports non-compliance. Monitors employee’s productivity, work habits. Leads work startup and stoppage, schedules breaks. Monitors care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property. Maintains material inventories. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage, and other UO policies.
Ensures proper completion of documentation including providing feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation.
Rough in carpentry to include, but not limited to, framing, sheet goods, wood decking and dock work as well as repairing wood and metal stud work. Trim work including various moldings, turnings, laminate application and cabinet work.
Dry-Vit repairs including repairs of EFIS building systems. Repairs and finishing to various walkways and roadways throughout the parks. Install and make repairs to wall and floor tiles and coverings made of various materials.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance of theater seating, furniture, restroom stall doors and partitions.
Install and make repairs to various commercial hardware, including but limited to, door closures, panic hardware, mortis and cylindrical locks.
Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in training developing new and current employees.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:

3-5 years general carpentry and construction including framing, drywall, trim work, masonry, and tile required.
3-5 years commercial roofing experience required;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
