Overview:

Position Summary

Responsible for safely maintaining the day to day operations of natural gas processing, compression and pipeline facilities which will include all aspects of day to day operations. The candidate will also be the lead person on site and will assist other operations personnel with system maintenance and performance enhancement operations. Some supervision of contract employees, making sure that materials are available and work is completed, in a safe and cost effective manner. The Board Operator had the responsibility of maintaining a safe working plant through continuous monitoring of all systems.

Responsibilities:

Target Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times in unpredictable field and/or weather conditions and near moving vehicles and equipment.

  • Working knowledge of gas compression, dehydration, condensate stabilization, and processing.

  • Record and maintain daily records of compressors and processing equipment.

  • Monitor plant operating parameters and adjust to maximize production.

  • Check in remote facilities in the corresponding working area (Company pool truck will be provided to drive)

  • Remotely monitor operating conditions of plant production and processing.

  • Recognize, anticipate, and correct abnormal and/or unusual operating conditions.

  • Trouble-shoot abnormal operational situations.
  • Evaluate daily operational efficiencies and make suggestions to enhance performance of the midstream system.

  • Follow correct protocol in an emergency situation and help coordinate emergency response.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with plant operators, supervisors, electrical, and mechanical.

  • Coordinate facility and pipeline startups in compliance with company procedures.

  • Trouble-shoot abnormalities in gas flow/condensate flow or pressures and make necessary changes.

  • Keep daily shift logs and complete end of shift reports.

  • Perform periodic maintenance on equipment.

  • Monitor and coordinate the activities of contractors and vendors.

  • Communicate operational issues with coworkers and management.

  • Hazard train contractors and vendors; conduct safety meetings.

  • Communicate all safety issues to Safety Supervisor and/or management.

  • Comply with all laws, policies, and regulations.

  • Maintain a work site free of environmental hazards. Promptly report adverse and/or abnormal environmental conditions.

  • Utilize on site man lift and forklift when necessary to complete maintenance and daily tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free plant site.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be safety oriented.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • 3+ years’ experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of natural gas compressor stations, dehydration units, stabilization equipment, and midstream pipeline systems.

  • Operational knowledge of SCADA control systems.

  • Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions, shift work, nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to work a 12 hour shift.

  • Must be able to work a current schedule of 4 on 4 off and willing to fill in for other shifts when needed.

  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must possess basic computer skills – Windows, MSOutlook, MSExcel, MSWord

  • Must possess a current Driver’s License
