PDS Tech is currently seeking a Security Guard in Mesa, AZ.Highly qualified individuals, who will provide effective security measures consistent with our company objectives, procedures and policies, as well as applicable government laws, statutes, and regulations. This individual will work ata fixed post or patrols an assigned geographic area and make note of unusual or suspicious events. Typically the Security Guard communicates observations using radios, mobile telephones, computer systems, and written reports.Days but shift flexibility is needed.Primary Responsibilities:The individual shall possess good communication skills and may interface with various government regulators, including first responders (i.e. law enforcement, fire, EMS).The individual shall regularly assess facility conditions to prevent mishaps and maintain a secure and safe work environment.The individual shall prepare written reports and complete required logs and forms; working with health, environmental, safety and security staff and othersThe individual shall monitor closed circuit television, employee access control systems, intrusion detection systems, burglar alarms, fire alarms and signals.The individual shall support the visitor identification badging programsThe individual shall work any shift schedule assigned.Perform other duties as required.Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):High school diploma or GEDTwo years’ experience in a public, private or corporate security functionAZ DPS Security Guard card (unarmed)Ability to learn via “on the job” training with limited direct supervision and oversightAbility to obtain a BATFE Employee Possessor Letter of ClearanceVery good personal credit historyAZ Driver License, D Operator (No suspensions or revocations. Driver restrictions / or record of minor violations considered)Ability to use Android and Apple mobile telephones, and portable two-way radiosAbility to use MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to learn response to hazardous materials spills (may be completed after hire).Ability to learn requirements for secure storage of ammunition and explosives in accordance with DoD 5100.76-M and 27 CFR §555.Basic First Aid, First Responder (may be completed after hire).CPR / AED card (may be completed after hire).NFPA 25 Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-based Fire Protection Systems (may be completed after hire).NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (may be completed after hire).NFPA Emergency Evacuation (may be completed after hire).DSS Center for the Development of Security Excellence Courses (may be completed after hire)-All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, or other legally protected status.
