About the Role

Responsible for performing monthly pre-funding quality control reviews along with overseeing the residential real estate pre-funding QC process. Facilitate selection of loans for pre-funding review with the bank divisions and ensure monthly minimum selection requirements are met. Compile and complete monthly pre-funding final reports and distribute to responsible parties. Assist pre-funding reviewers at the Division level with questions and pre-funding QC review training.This is a Corporate Position, which can be located in any available bank division location across our eight state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform pre-funding quality control reviews to ensure accuracy of TRID disclosures, in addition to all other loan disclosures required for the mortgage loan, in accordance the loan program guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all loans conform to regulatory and secondary market requirements, as well as bank policy and investor standards.
  • Review all applicable loan documents for accuracy to policy and procedure as well as compliance guidelines. i.e. Loan Estimate, Appraisal, Title, AUS Findings, Insurance Policy, Closing Disclosure, Mortgage, Note etc.

  • Ensure monthly minimum is met for mortgage pre-funding Quality Control. Complete pre-funding QC reviews on 10% of the FHA loans originated each month. Assist pre-funding reviewers at the Division level with questions and pre-funding QC review training.

  • Issue timely and accurate reports to the GBCI Compliance Committee and Management and Division Management.

  • Clearly explain and communicate results, findings and recommendations to Division Management. Ensure Division pre-funding results are finalized prior to issuing reports.

  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with all Division and Corporate management and personnel by checking in regularly to make yourself available, attend relevant meetings and determine needed feedback and training. Assist in the flow of information to the Division to ensure communications (i.e. new procedures, policies, forms, etc.) from GBCI are received and understood. Escalate findings or issues when needed to GBCI Management when updated or new processes are needed to prevent future findings.

  • When requested, serve on committees or special task groups for new regulatory, program or procedural changes.
  • Assist with post closing reviews and QC manual updates as needed.

  • Ensure all loans comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Truth in Lending Act, Flood, Government Monitoring Information, Rgulation B, HMDA, High Priced Mortgage Loans, Home Ownership Equity Protection Act, Safe Harbor and Qualified Mortgage/ATR.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of five years of residential real estate loan processing, underwriting, quality control and/or lending compliance experience is required.

  • Experience with one of the following systems is preferred: Encompass, SecondLook QC Software, and/or Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Excel

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Must attain a professional designation such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO) within 12 months of hire.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of TRID regulations with emphasis on the Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures.

  • Ability to monitor, analyze and apply compliance rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and USDA lending requirements and quality control standards.

  • Sufficient banking and regulatory knowledge, organizational and technical skill for performing all required monitoring and reviews.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with others in the Company to perform effective audits and to report the results.

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, using considerable tact, diplomacy, and judgment.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently to carry out assigned tasks.

  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to respond to arising problems.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Thorough knowledge of or ability to learn various office software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be capable of up to occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
