Truck & Auto Parts Counter Person

Inter City Tire is seeking a personable and enthusiastic person to work in our busy and fast-paced truck and auto service center in Elizabeth, NJ as a Parts Counter Person.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- provide prompt and courteous service to all customers over the telephone and in the shop

- identify and look up parts with accuracy and efficiency

- pull parts for service jobs in our shop and carry-out customers

- record parts on work orders

- order stocking and special-order parts as needed

- stock shelves and keep the parts department clean and organized

- take inventory and cycle counts

- process core returns

Candidates must have at least five years of experience and be knowledgeable of car and/or truck parts. Customer service and basic math and PC skills are required. Basic supervisory/leadership skills are also required to be effective in the role. Must be able to work a schedule that includes extended work days and Saturdays. Must be willing to submit to an employment background check and drug screen. Must be able to safely lift 60-70 pounds from floor to waist on a regular basis throughout the day.
