Service Advisor - Truck & Auto

Inter City Tire is seeking a personable and enthusiastic person to work in our busy and fast-paced truck and auto service center in Elizabeth, NJ as a Service Advisor. The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between the customer and shop personnel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Greeting customers and evaluating their needs

- "Walking" the vehicle with the customer to identify needs the customer may not be aware of (tires, brakes, etc.)

- Preparing quotations

- Opening work orders detailing the work to be performed

- Working closely with the shop foremen, technicians and the shop general manager to oversee the efficient inflow of jobs and track the progress of work

- Communicating to the customer any repair issues identified by the shop

- Ensuring the quality and timely completion of jobs

- Finalizing work orders, making sure all work is properly set forth for billing

- Ensuring the customer has a positive experience

Candidates must be knowledgeable of auto or truck repairs. Knowledge of tires is a plus. Customer service and basic math and PC skills are required. Supervisory and leadership skills are also required to be effective in the role. Must be able to work a schedule that includes extended work days and Saturdays. Must be willing to submit to an employment background check and drug screen.
