Truck Mechanic

Illumination Dynamics, Inc. (ID), is a supplier of Lighting Equipment, Trucks and Generators to the Motion Picture, Television, Commercial and Sports Broadcast Industries, including Automated Lighting to the Entertainment Television and Corporate markets, with offices in California and North Carolina.

ID is looking for an experienced Heavy Truck mechanic with a positive attitude, attention to detail and strong work ethic to work in our Charlotte, NC office. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company in an exciting industry providing mobile power for Live Sports Broadcast and Motion Picture equipment nationally.

Responsibilities would include performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs and troubleshooting on our private fleet of commercial vehicles ranging from delivery vehicles to Class 8.

Fabricating and welding skills are beneficial. Must have a clean driving record. CDL Class A license required. This role is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities also include:

Diagnosis and repair of both mechanical and electrical component issues

Review submitted DVIR’s daily to ensure all repairs are prioritized and addressed

Perform vehicle inspections as required

Ensure that all service details are diligently recorded in maintenance software, in accordance with company

policies and procedures

Work irregular hours on occasion if urgent repairs are required, overnight travel on occasion

Skills

Electrical and mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

Possess valid CDL Class A driver’s license with good driving record

Basic computer knowledge
