Traveling Site Superintendent Needed - Commercial Construction

Site Superintendents are needed for established but growing commercial contracting company working on projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast areas. Our company is able to offer a stable employment opportunity year-round. We are looking for someone who is a team player, is able to travel to job sites and work independently.
Responsibilities include:
· Traveling to job sites in different states and cities where work is taking place
· Ensuring jobsite safety, conducting weekly safety meetings, keeping site secure, clean and free from debris.
· Punctuality and consistent presence on the job site.
· Overseeing a project from beginning to end.
· Scheduling work and managing sub-contractors.
· Providing material takeoffs, trouble-shooting, etc.
· Communicating and troubleshooting issues that arise on the job site
· Daily communication with office staff, project manager, and others as needed.
· Completing required paperwork, such as RFI’s, weekly updates, and incident reports.
· Upholding a high quality of work and adhering to brand standards of our corporate clients.
· Driving projects to a strong close on time and on budget.
The following skills and attributes are also required:
· Strong Commercial Construction Background (5+ years preferred).
· Reliable, organized, and able to anticipate and solve problems that might otherwise delay projects.
· Familiarity with laws and procedures regarding health and safety on construction jobsites.
· Excellent communication and coordination skills.
· Proficiency with reading plans and accurate estimating
· Ability and willingness to perform basic construction tasks as required.
· Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, as jobs may require night and/or weekend work.
· Strong understanding and ability to use technology to communicate. Video conferencing, sending and uploading photos in real-time, emailing and texting are some of the tasks that will be required.
