Lead Carpenter / Project Coordinator

Bud Matthews Services - A well established residential general contractor and remodeling company based in the greater Chapel Hill area is looking for a Lead Carpenter / Project Coordinator. The position requires an individual to manage various projects from start to finish ensuring each one is completed in a timely manner, within or under the estimated budget and to the Client's satisfaction.

Lead Carpenter should possess knowledge and ability to perform the following skills:

- carpentry work required for the maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings and structures of residential and small commercial applications

- Applicant must be able to work as a team and be able to take initiative on their own

- Excellent communication - verbal, written and customer service skills are required

- Teamwork, collaboration and communication must be high priority in order for someone to have success with

BMS

Additional Responsibilities:

- - Follow work orders, prepare change orders and record daily activities for each job

- Maintain a high standard of quality workmanship

- Bring to the attention of department manager any issues with work performance by other BMS employees or Subcontractors

- Maintain frequent communication with the customer in person, by phone or in writing

- Supervise, lead and mentor other crew members

- Maintain a clean and organized job site

Requirements:

- 5 years' minimum experience

- Honest, Punctual and professional

- Standard tools of the trades

- Valid driver's license

- Consent to a drug test
