Administrative Assistant

Position Summary:

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties which require extreme discretion in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

1. Receive telephone calls and visitors; tactfully refer them to proper individual if CEO is not available.

2. Maintain calendar of events, schedules, appointments; take minutes of meetings.

3. Coordinate in-person and virtual meeting arrangements such as time, place, attendees and matters to be discussed.

4. Coordinate preparation of special reports; maintain control of reports due in or out of the office and keep required documents and directives.

5. Act as liaison between CEO and operations staff, community contacts and the customer.

6. Coordinate preparation and maintenance of current, updated, new and revised standard operating procedures in compliance with corporate procedures.

7. Participate in the development of new and revised policies and procedures,

8. Participate in student internships, employability programs and activities.

9. Promote the development of all staff by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring staff where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.

10. Maintain accountability of and property; adhere to safety practices.

It is expected that the applicant shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years administrative experience. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
