- Support rapid prototyping, development, and characterization of novel hardware systems, including sensors and imaging systems for future Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) devices
- Develop and own validation strategy and plans based on application requirements for new camera system within a cross-functional team
- Manage and document reference designs across multiple versions of sensors, firmware, and/or software configurations
- Perform functional validation of early sensor samples for system and module prototype integration
- Provide feedback for cross-functional teams for efficient FW design and bug fixing
- Understand and assist implementation of FW with good practices across teams and projects
- Familiar with programming language/scripting and test automation in both characterization and form-factor environment (2+ year)
- Hands-on experience with the following interfaces: I2C/I3C, MIPI (1+ year)
- Direct experience with embedded systems (software and hardware) including design, testing, and support (1+ year)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in image sensor/camera design (1+ year)
- Experience developing firmware and driver for mobile devices/cameras (1+ year)
- Experience with lab instrumentation like oscilloscope, logic/protocol analyzers for debugging embedded systems at HW level (a plus)
- Knowledge of software design and programming in C for development, debugging, testing and performance analysis (a plus)
- Hands-on experience with FPGA and hardware evaluation boards, and EDA design tools including Xilinx parts, tool chains, Verilog or VHDL (a plus)
- C and Python (a plus)
- Familiar with embedded microcontroller architecture (a plus)
- Bachelor with at least 3+ years of experience, preferably Master with 5+ years
