Job DetailsResponsibilities will include supporting the quality system to ensure that all products produced meet or exceed quality standards required by our customers. Help to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction while ensuring that procedures and processes are followed. Responsible for identifying quality issues and utilizing root cause and corrective action processes to drive urgent resolution and ensure zero impact to our customers. Support development and launch of new products and processes. Work in a TEAM environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to all production areas.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Be the voice of the customer• Manage all quality related issues within manufacturing (internal, supplier, customer)• Identify root cause and implement permanent corrective actions for product and process quality issues. 5 WHYS, FISHBONE, PFMEA• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.• Carry out product and process auditing• Lead and participate in internal quality audits.• Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.• Monitor and report on quality related key performance indicators including scrap, rework level, PPM and others.• STOP production in the event of producing unacceptable product and work with team members to resolve issues.• Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the QMS, (quality management system).• Assist with training of all quality related procedures and issues.• Report on all KPI's.• Support and participate with all process improvements• Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices.• Produce written reports and make presentations.• Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor's Degree (Quality Engineering or Other Engineering Discipline preferred)• 5 or more years of experience in a Quality Engineering role related to injection molding or screen printing• Ability to lead projects and facilitate team activities• Manage a safe working environment, accurately documents safety related training and effectively communicates safety incidents.• Makes data driven decisions and develops sustainable solutions.• Makes decisions by putting overall company success first before department/individual success.• Continuously evaluates existing program and processes, and develops new initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.• Creates, monitors, and responds to departmental performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.• Communicates and clear vision of Quality.• Demonstrates ability to think analytically.• Works effectively with departments, vendors, and customers to achieve company success.EXPERIENCE:• Quality Engineering 5+ yrs (required)• Plastics Manufacturing 5+ yrs (preferred)• Screen Printing 5+ yrsInterested in hearing more?
