C# Software Architect

PDS is hiring a Sr. Software Architect to lead a small team of engineers on a project to modernize a legacy Field Services application. This is a hands-on position with leadership responsibility for a team consisting of onshore and offshore development resources. The project will take existing services and re-write them to run on our clients platform. We are looking for someone who has experience with code optimization, design patterns, microservice strategies, knows SOLID principles, and can lead with a mentor mentality. Necessary skills:

• Expert level C# skills
• SQL
• Software design patterns
• Microservices
• Containerization
• Automation
• Strong understanding of SOLID
• 7+ years software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership roles
• Experience working with offshore resources
• Able to lead and mentor a small 6 person team of developers
• Experience with re-writing legacy code
• Experience with Unit Testing Proficiency with front end technologies such as: JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS, JQuery or others.
• Able and willing to create documentation
• Working knowledge of best practices related to distributed architectures.
