Equifax has an exciting career opportunity for a Data Analytics & Wrangling Engineer within the Data and Analytics (D&A) organization of its Workforce Solutions business during an impressive cloud transformation. This individual will help drive growth and innovation within our Employer Services portfolio of solutions, while becoming an expert in our technical environment as it relates to data delivery, design data structures and processes balancing immediate deliverables with future reusability, and evangelize best practices for data solution architecture. Being able to blend disparate technologies/platforms (BigQuery, DataFlow, Google Cloud Platform, Python, SQL, Hadoop) into cohesive solutions is critical for success. An ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented, and a fast learner in order to work with all Equifax's major data assets and a rapidly changing technology environment. Who is Equifax? What You'll Do
  • Play the role of data owner; discover, create and maintain data and attributes from Equifax's rich data assets
  • Create recommendations for increasing data utilization based on understanding of the data delivery environment and sharing that knowledge through thoughtful metadata and other collaborative means
  • Develop sustainable, reusable, and rigorously tested data pipelines wrangled from disparate systems to drive faster, more informed decision making and actionable insights
  • Collaborate with Technology, Security, Data Governance, and IT Operations to ensure data access and appropriate use of data
  • Participate in identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, conducting data quality check, etc.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of work experience in identifying, gathering, transforming, and analyzing data within and across database platforms (SQL, Python)
  • 2+ years of work experience building, loading, transforming, and analyzing data within Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, JupyterLab)
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to rapidly learn new data assets
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline or experience
  • Work experience building, loading, transforming, and analyzing data within Google Cloud Platform or other similar cloud environment is a plus
