FLAT RATE CALCULATIONS

If you worked overtime anything over 40 hours a week would be time and half rate (multiply by 1.5). If you worked 2,350 hours last year and made $57,000 then the math would be approximately like this. 2,350 total hours worked minus 2,080 hours of regular time = 270 hours of overtime worth 1.5 times so 270 x 1.5= 405 hours of equivalent regular time. 2,080 hours plus the 405 = 2,485 equivalent hours worked. $57,000 divided by 2,485 = $22.94 per hour that you actually made if you worked at a non-flat rate shop! Do the math.
