The primary function of the OSL Serves Marketing/Public Relations and Fund Development Manager position is the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketing, public relations and corporate and individual fund development planning and execution.

Salary Range: $67,000 to $72,000 depending on experience.

OSL Serves is seeking a highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic individual for our growing

organization. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of marketing and PR at the

corporate level and support of the individual platform functions on a day‐to‐day basis. The

candidate should have strong writing and communication skills in addition to a natural eye for

formatting, colors, and appealing aesthetics to ensure a professional brand consistency. This is

You will be responsible for communicating key messages and promoting a positive image of our organization. Day-to-day duties may include writing press releases, liaising with press and coordinating messaging on website, social media and in print as well as planning and carrying out PR and marketing strategies.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to:

Monitoring the public and media's opinion of OSL

Writing and editing press releases, leaflets, brochures, speeches, newsletters, websites and social media content

Utilizing all forms of media, to build, maintain and manage the portrayal of OSL

Representing OSL at events

Acting as a spokesperson for OSL’s company’s brand

Training employees on how to handle media enquiries and press interviews

Developing good working relationships with the media and liaising with the press on potential news stories

Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies and annual reports

Managing and updating OSL’s social media posts

Devising and coordinating photo opportunities

Managing, arranging and overseeing events

Monitoring publicity and press coverage

Coordinating paid and unpaid advertising.

Manage all marketing materials, website updates, and social media presence

Responsible for corporate messaging development and distribution

Be the last point of contact with Company deliverables before they are published/distributed ensuring all formatting, aesthetics and content are in‐line with OSL standards and expectations

Plan a multi pronged effort to advance OSL’s mission, impact, and longevity, including individual and corporate donor development and cultivation, strategic planning, fostering partnerships, etc.

Leading and coordinating fund development efforts with development team through: Grants, Corporate Sponsorships, Fundraising events, Individual gifts, Giving Societies, Matching programs, Legacy gifts, Merchandise sales

Schedule meetings, and tours, and presentations for CEO and corporate and group funders

Other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrate a professional level of communication and language skills; verbal, written and listening

Demonstrate ability to think creatively and independently

Advanced design knowledge / experience

Excellent interpersonal skills

Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail necessary to prioritize multiple

initiatives and projects

Presentation skills

ability to prioritize and plan effectively

Digital media skills, such as graphic design, video editing, and blog administration

Social media management experience

Actively market and promote Company news and project development and activities including formal press release distribution, article development / pitch, social media, etc.

Develop branded materials as needed: PowerPoint Template, RFQ and other supporting materials

Create the annual marketing plan/budget

Implement the annual marketing plan

Continually evaluate the public relations strategy

Ensure documents and marketing materials are current, accurate and properly reflect the brand and desired messaging

Performs other duties as assigned which are in the best interests of OSL Serves.

Ability to create and assemble attractive marketing materials

Working knowledge of design and implementation software necessary for the job function (Word, PDF, Constant Contact, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook, Adobe InDesign platform or Adobe CC, etc.)

Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed

Work well with a team

Willingness to travel

Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed

This is a full time position, 40 hours/week, with flexibility required due to organizational needs.
