Our client is seeking a Shipping Materials Handler to join their team. As a Shipping Materials Handler, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the Shipping Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience in logistics and shipping operations.Job Title: Shipping Materials HandlerLocation: Grand Prairie, Texas 75050Pay Range: $20.42 - $25.53 per hourWhat’s the Job?

Operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment; must obtain and retain Siemens forklift certification.

Package all equipment, parts, and shipments according to documented processes and work instructions.

Load LTL or FTL shipments with core carriers, complete all paperwork, quotes, computer transactions, and record keeping.

Assist in shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and moving materials to designated areas.

Record and track shipments using SAP or a similar ERP system; assist in counting physical inventory as required.

What’s Needed?

Experience: At least 12-18 months of experience as a shipping materials handler required; 2+ years preferred.

Knowledge: Proficiency in logistics, packaging, rigging, and all aspects of shipping.

Skills: Ability to operate forklifts and material-moving equipment; must be able to obtain Siemens forklift certification.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely lift at least 40 pounds unaided and perform 5S activities including sweeping and organizing.

Computer Skills: Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred; capable of recording shipping transactions accurately.
