Data Architect

Description Robert Half Technology's client is seeking a talented candidate for an open Data Architect position. This is a long term contract opportunity.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Ensure that new and existing internal applications meet business requirements and goals, fulfill user requirements, and identify and resolve data related issues.• Responsible for the data architecture for • Ensure that data driven projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.• Identify and resolve errors and issues with data and/or queriesQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required. Experience and Education Required: • Background in computer science, data science, statistics or other related field• Work experience in field of at least 3 years• Strong experience with SQL (SQL Server) and NoSQL storage tools, such as MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB and ElasticSearch• Experience with star and/or snowflake schemas• Experience having built and deployed complex production systems that implement modern data structures including data warehousing and/or data lakes• Fluent in modern programming languages for data science and analytics• Experience working tightly with development team and business stakeholdersEducation/Experience Preferred:• Experience working with and maintaining data analysis platforms such as:o Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, Jupyter and other Python data toolso Spark (Scala and PySpark), HDFS, Kafka and other high volume data tools• Experience with data transformation technologiesSpecific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Excellent analytical skills and abilities• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Experience working in a distributed team-oriented, collaborative environment• Travel as required (typically 0-20%)• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology Requirements SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Python, Data Analysis, Data Warehousing Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with some of the best companies on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
