ELECTRICAL PUMP APPRENTICE

THE ABLEMARLE COUNTY SERVICE AUTHORITY HAS THE FOLLOWING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:

ELECTRICAL PUMP APPRENTICE

Through a course of study and on-the-job training, performs increasingly difficult technical work in the maintenance of pumps, electric motors, controls and electronic instrumentation of water and sewer pumping stations; does related work as required. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Electrician/Pump Technician. Available to respond to pump station and other emergency incidents when requested including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Highschool Diploma or equivalent and possession of a Valid VA driver's license with Class A with Combination Vehicle Endorsement. Must enroll in Journeyman Electrical Course within 6 months of employment, with goal of career progression to Electrical/Pump Technician. Must be able to obtain 16-hour Asbestos worker license. Trained as confined space attendant and continuing training to become Confined Space Supervisor.

Starting Salary Range $41,131- $49,357
