Pizzeria Mercato Hiring Cook
Pizzeria Mercato is looking to add a strong cook to our team. Our menu is ever changing based around the Carrboro Farmer's Market, dishes ranging from creative vegetables, seafood, house-made pasta, and much more. We are looking for someone to grow with role and contribute creatively once they find their footing in our kitchen.
We operate Thursday-Sunday, giving a concrete balance between work and personal life. Shifts begin at 12 PM and work until close which has us wrapping up around 10 PM every night. We have two weeks a year, first week of January, and first week of July where we close for a break to rest.
Taking care of our team is priority number one, without a strong team the restaurant cannot succeed. Our pay scale, time off paid, are the beginning of trying to create a sustainable culture that makes restaurant work a long-term option. Many of our staff have been with us for 3+ years, many of them since we opened.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and work on your feet comfortably. We take a break, eat staff meal and gear up before every dinner service.
