Maintenance Position Available
Alaska, Anchorage / mat-su , 99501 Anchorage / mat-su USA

I am looking for someone having the necessary skills for the replacement of various floor coverings such as carpet, tile or vinyl plank flooring as well as installation of cabinets and countertops, toilets, replacement of tubs and surrounds (possible use of tile as a replacement) and of course painting and trim.

I'm currently renovating a single one bedroom unit in an apartment complex. A complete remodeling (on occasion) will be required so having a broader maintenance skillset would be preferable. I work well with my employees and I may at times accept creative ideas as an alternative to my own and will inspect the work to insure quality.

In general I'm just hitting the highlights of the job requirements but the skills mentioned above are those that require someone to have the experience which would insure their proper installation. This can (at times) require complete renovations, basically stripping the apartments down to bare walls and modernizing them. It may include installing new kitchen cabinets and the lower cabinets which would then need to be covered with new countertops.

Prospective applicants must be responsible for the care of tools used and maintain a clean work area. Cleaning and taking care of any tools provided insures that they are well maintained and ready for use the next time they are needed. Tools and materials must be stored at the end of each day, any paint buckets sealed, tools cleaned and stowed.

I need someone reliable, healthy and who appreciates the work. I am offering $25.00 an hour, eight hours a day five (six if you like) days a week.

I expect someone to be at work, healthy and performing their duty each day. I'm not paying $1,000 - $1,200 a week for people with drug or alcohol issues or who have a propensity for calling in sick every other day. Income property not rerented within a timely manner is a financial loss. I am an easy to work for person, but I will not allow anyone to continuously call in saying they can’t make it in…

Anyone familiar with this kind of work (general construction/maintenance) and are interested in full time work should note that I should be able to keep you busy for at least the winter months. If you can work more than eight hours a day I am okay with that, but I don't pay overtime. While it does increase your pay for the pay period it may also shorten the overall estimated timeline.

If interested, I would like to know more about you and what experience you have. After texting me at the number within the contact info provided, I can set up a time when you and I can meet at the building and I can show you the layout. If you call and I don't answer please leave a message as I may be on the other line or working
