Accounts Payable Manager
Description We are initiating the search for an Accounts Payable Manager to be a part of one of our favorite clients to partner with. This role is based in Olathe, Kansas and offers a hybrid working model. The individual will be instrumental in supervising and mentoring the Accounts Payable staff, managing vendor relationships, approving invoices, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the department. Responsibilities: Supervising and mentoring the Accounts Payable staff to ensure effective job performance. Overseeing the processing of payments and reviewing, coding, and approving invoices when necessary. Handling vendor, staff, and subsidiary queries and responding to audit requests in a timely manner. Conducting monthly closing of Accounts Payable and reconciling AP to the General Ledger. Maintaining comprehensive vendor data, including W-9’s and preparing annual 1099 reporting. Managing unclaimed property and reporting to the state as per regulations. Collaborating with other departments & subsidiaries to negotiate with vendors and service providers. Assisting in achieving project/department milestones/goals set by management. Reviewing and updating policies and procedures to automate and maintain process improvements. Demonstrating knowledge to competently and accurately examine, process, and maintain approved leases, contracts, and other financial documentation. Undertaking other projects or tasks as assigned.Requirements A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role is required. Demonstrable expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. Proven ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. Experience in resolving discrepancies efficiently is crucial. Proficiency in approving invoices in line with company policies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
