The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.Within DMI, the Risk, Finance and Privacy Data Management (RFPDM) team has responsibility in ensuring Wells Fargo applications across the company meet our internal data governance standards as well as external regulatory expectations through strategic execution and partnering with team members in all lines of business and enterprise support functions. This includes work around data privacy and meeting international (GDPR) and state/national (CCPA) regulations for protecting this information. The Data Management Consultant 3 (DMC3) positions will be an individual contributor role on a critical function team within RFPM.The Data Management Consultant 3's (DMC 3) requires subject matter expertise in data governance policy and the processes/procedures used to assess application compliance and capabilities. Additionally, the DMC3's are expected to be a key contributor to improvements of existing and/or new processes that aide in compliance assessment and tracking. These positions will report to the Domain Managers for the Credit Risk Data Domain, Operational Risk Data Domain and Financial Management and Reporting Data Domains within RFPDM.Other job responsibilities include:Drives the implementation of data governance on applications supporting critical functions and across the target state data platforms (i.e. implement Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Policy requirements).

Drives compliance activities and manages ongoing maintenance of all domain components including key roles, applications, metrics, council routines, etc.

Monitors the resolution of data issues, and lead the resolution of significant or cross-organizational data issues.

Leads the end-to-end documentation and assessment of data controls across critical bank reporting and processes, as needed.

Assesses adequacy of data quality controls and recommends data quality monitoring rules.

Provides governance SME and resources to business enablement activities as needed

Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience

2 + years of risk identification and documentation experience

2+ years of Microsoft office suite experience such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word

2+ years of experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting

1+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners

2+ years of process improvement experience

Desired QualificationsAbility to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment
