JOB DESCRIPTION: Kitchen Lead/Manager
This position drives hospitality, culture and morale within the restaurant BOH, develops amicable vendor relationships, and promotes strategic business initiatives. By ensuring positive guest experiences and positive employee morale, this position plays a key role in driving sales, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: OPERATIONS / SERVICE:
Experience leading or managing and using BOH TOAST pos system(s) and 3rd party delivery apps.
Experience leading or managing a fast-casual restaurant (experience working within an Asian/southern style cuisine and/or plant based vegan cuisine is a plus!)
Ability to work closely with executive management team to ensure excellent operational experiences.
Maintain consistent floor presence and visibility to monitor flow of service and upholding standards and following SOPs.
Compassionately supervise and partners with BOH staff, and during service interact with guests in the restaurant, ensuring exemplary service and satisfaction.
Lead opening staff huddle up meetings to focus on key service points and strive to improve BOH performance every day.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the entire kitchen, restaurant, juice bar, & storage areas, and comply with all DOH kitchen regulations.
Lead the organization, maintenance and inventory of all foods and equipment; including but not limited to: produce, beverages, gloves, smallware’s, paper goods, oils & cleaning supplies
Manage or lead new hire food, beverage and service training, scheduling and supervision of staff in accordance with company policies and standards.
Ensure proper accountabilities for all operational issues at the restaurant, including maintenance and enterprise service schedules (e.g., cleaning, pest control, systems maintenance).
Supervise all other employees and vendors of the restaurant, and maintain orderly and prioritized workflow of operating procedures.
Lead policy and procedure compliance and operations
Lead our total waste management requirements to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
Experience managing a BOH staff of 5 -10 people
