WHAT WE SEEK
The Account Manager is an inside sales position serving as a key member of our collaborative sales team and helps execute sales campaigns by qualifying leads, closing sales and providing high-quality sales and customer support in small and Mid size districts. The Account Manager develops, grows and retains strategic, long-term partnerships with new clients. This position works within a select geographic group of clients and prospective clients to promote the Carnegie Learning products/services and represents Carnegie Learning by identifying business opportunities consistent with the company's strategic objectives. The Account Manager also works closely with the Account Executive and colleagues in all departments throughout the company. This position reports to the VP of Account Management
An AM's success is measured through:
Overall territory performance
Individual revenue/quota targets based on named accounts within a specific territory
Individual goals as part of the company's annual Make Us Better process
Assigned accounts, revenue/quota targets, activity metrics and collaboration with the Account Executive.
This person will need to work PST/MST HoursWHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
Qualify opportunities and schedule presentations through discovery calls and product demonstrations.
Achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly metrics relating to customer outreach, new business opportunity generation, presentations scheduled, renewals, and other sales-related targets.
Utilize Salesforce, and HighSpot to conduct account research, communication and quoting
Develop strong relationships with current customers and continually provide status updates and value adds to ensure renewal.
Attend product training and develop an understanding of all of our product offerings.
Implement and execute sales projects and campaign activities, as needed.
Escalate appropriate issues to a specialist(s) or supervisor(s) when necessary.
Maintain product & system knowledge of SFDC, HighSpot, Oracle, and other sales tools.
Create, organize, schedule, host, and deliver (in some cases) quarterly status and data meetings for all customers.
Communicate with Account Executives and other departments to problem solve, troubleshoot, facilitate, coordinate and collaborate on sales-related activities.
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent to ensure business and sales success, which may include, but are not limited to:
Sampling requests
Quoting/ cost proposals
Narrative proposal development for existing customer upsells and new business over 100K
Coordination of sales presentations and or training with Sales Enablement, Customer Success or Professional LearningWHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG
Bachelor's degree in Business preferred
Two (2) or more years experience in a similar role
Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills through a variety of media and audiences
SalesForce.com experience preferred
Must thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and collaborative environment
Must be able, and willing, to pivot and prioritize tasks depending on territory needs
Ability to think critically and considering all areas involved when problem-solving, regardless of the size of the problem or issue
Efficient at time management and setting priorities
Proficiency with computers and programs, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite
