Master Carpenter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Carpenter to join our growing team in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of carpentry, with the ability to work independently and execute projects with precision. You will be responsible for creating, installing and repairing as-needed. We must ensure high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine project specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials with precision and attention to detail.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, and other structures with high craftsmanship standards.
Conduct repairs and renovations as needed, ensuring quality and durability.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Master Carpenter or in a senior carpentry role.
Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques including staining, woodworking, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or formal training preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a Master Carpenter or senior role.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience. 1099 or W2 possible.
