Our client, a local non-profit in Boston, is seeking a temporary Development Operations Assistant to join their team! This role is onsite in Boston, temporary for approximately 3 months, full time hours 40 hours per week, and paying up to $25/hour. Interest in non-profits and fundraising is a bonus!KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMail acknowledgment letter batches and help with filing of gift backup for donors.Process and write tribute gift notifications to ensure timely receipt.Download donor updates processed through the website via the Luminate Online/Raiser's Edge NXT plug-in.Assist the Development department with processing donations made by credit card. Help update donor records in the database as needed.Assist with packaging and mailing holiday card orders.Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Development and Development Operations Manager.QUALIFICATIONSPast fundraising operations experience or familiarity of working in a small non-profit setting preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.Knowledge of fundraising database systems preferred, particularly Raiser's Edge/NXT and Luminate Online.Demonstrated technical competency and capacity to learn new software systems quickly.Familiarity with drafting handwritten notes with legible penmanship. Flexibility and ability to work effectively in a collaborative and busy development office.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Demonstrate keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Capable of working independently and taking initiative while keeping supervisor informed appropriately.Demonstrate efficiency and accuracy.Ability to appropriately handle confidential information in accordance with the policies and proceduresBe physically able to safely lift 25lbs, reach, bend and stoop.Strong commitment to social justice and the mission.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
