Job Overview:

Seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations of a 650 unit upscale, gated storage facility (Ft. Worth, 76109). The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have experience in self storage management or a related field. As the assistant manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, maintaining the facility’s appearance and security, managing rentals, and maximizing revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service to current and potential tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.

Manage the leasing of storage units by handling customer inquiries, processing rentals, and promoting additional services such as insurance or packing materials.

Daily drive around property on the golf cart to ensure nothing unusual upon opening for the day.

Ensure the property is clean, well-maintained, and secure. Oversee routine maintenance tasks and coordinate repairs as necessary.

Oversight of alarm system and gate access

Clean out units when vacated (remove things left behind, clean units and make ready for the next tenant to move in).

Walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors; 50% office

Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris, keeping office and public bathroom area clean and tidy.

Perform customer service for current and potential customers (in person and on phone), looking up available inventory and renting units, selling packing and moving supplies.

Ability to learn property management software, Sitelink.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in property management, retail management, or self-storage operations preferred.

Availability to work 32-40 hours per week. Facility office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Weekly Saturday availability is required.

Required: Valid driver’s license

Excellent attendance record at previous employment

Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 35 lbs, climb a ladder, change light bulbs, etc.

Moderate computer skills (security systems, property management software (Sitelink), emails, point of sale, running sales reports

Ability to handle cash, credit card transactions, and balance daily financial reports.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

High school diploma or GED required; college education is a plus.

Background check required

$15-17 / hour DOE
