Seeking energetic caregivers
Hello, I'm Scott, a 36-year-old author living in Fullerton, I have Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I'm on the lookout for a compassionate care assistant to join my team, for 24-36 hours a week. As my care assistant, you'd essentially be my extra set of arms and legs, assisting me with my daily activities. It's important that you can lift and transfer up to 90 pounds and maintain good endurance throughout your shift.
I have a passion for cooking delicious meals, healthy foods and reggae as well as diving into books, research, and writing. I'm also a fan of movies, concerts, music, and spending quality time in nature. I navigate using a motorized wheelchair and rely on a ventilator with a nasal mask for breathing. I enjoy getting out and about, so if you're comfortable driving a van, that would be ideal. Don't worry if you lack experience; training will be provided.
Here are the available shifts:
Monday: 7am-3pm and 3pm-7pm
Tuesday: 7pm-7am
Wednesday: 7pm-7am
Thursday 7am-3pm and 3pm-7pm
Friday: 7pm-7am
Saturday: 7pm-7am
Sunday: 7am-3pm 3pm-7pm and 7pm-7am
Hourly wage of $18, paid through Orange County I.H.S.S. If you're not already a registered provider, a live scan will be required.
