Telecom Design Engineer with Amsys Telecom DivisionThis role is per bid contract Duties:• The applicant will need to have experience and an understanding of Telecommunication and Fiber Optic facilities.• The applicant will need to have experience and an understanding of fiber optic Lightgig work.• Knowledge of fiber feeder and distribution jobs.• Knowledge of Corning Flexnap cable.• Knowledge of “Brownfield” or “Overlay” projects a plus.• Knowledge of terminal placement and design.• Knowledge of Right of Ways and Easements for utility access.• Knowledge of permitting for DOT and other municipalities and entities.• Knowledge of aerial fiber cable design, placement, and pole construction including data gathering for Pole Loading Analysis (OCALC).• Candidate should have a high level of experience with buried fiber cable design involving trenching, boring, and handhole placements.• Knowledge of underground placement of fiber cable involving manhole and conduit structures.• Candidate must be able to meet strict deadlines on fiber build projects.• Candidate will be expected to submit a complete and detailed field design ready for the drafting team.• Experience with ATT or Verizon Outside Plant Engineering is a plus.• Experience with ARAMIS is a plus.• Understanding fielding (collection of data regarding utilities, buildings, and other station markers which can affect construction and engineering).• Candidate must be willing to work outdoors in all conditions to gather field information for fiber cable construction projects.• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time• Excellent communication skills• Must have a valid driver s license and reliable transportation
