Application Security Engineer III

Please send your resume to Jennifer Miller at Robert Half Technology is searching for an Application Security Engineer III for a technology client in the Bellevue, Washington area. This role is completely remote so nationwide candidates will be considered. The main responsibility of this Application Security Engineer III is to audit and build onto already existing Python scripts to help automate rules for firewalls. Job Duties- Analyze design code develop test install document implement and support of network security.- Build and schemitize files based on the FortiNet firewall configurations- Build tools to build JSON files- Turn rule files into JSON files Requirements - 4-6 years of experience in Security Architecture and Support - Strong knowledge of Python: editing, coding, and analyzing existing scripts to extend them further- Experience building new scripts for a data schema- Expertise with JSON files with the ability to convert firewall files to JSON schema- Familiarity with static source code analysis tools and application auditing for security vulnerabilities- Strong application/infrastructure DevOps experience- Comfortable with shell scripting- Strong Linux security experience- Experience developing tools building security scripts and developing new automation systems and APIsDesired Qualifications- Previous experience with FortiNet firewalls- Experience with the Salesforce platform- Familiarity with authentication systems such as LDAP Active Directory digital certificates and SAML- Experience working in Agile environments- You are constantly motivated by the opportunity to improve and to drive business-critical decisions based on what is best for the service and users- Be curious and broadly interested in information security If this sounds like a good fit, apply today!
