Effective planning, scheduling, researching, and writing skills are required to be successful as a Technical Writer. This is a non-engineering role that provides technical design services and support to Engineering teams while developing layouts, drawings, models, and simulations of engineering designs using computer aided design/engineering/manufacturing (CAD/CAE/CAM) software.Essential Duties:

Formatting and editing of digital images, including image size and resolution, color, brightness and contrast, rotation, and cropping

Able to use Time Studies, Yamazumi charts, and must be able to read standard work

Ability to write documents for two different areas, assigned area and one additional area

Must meet standard goal of less than three (3) errors per document before peer review

Ability to perform Associate Technical Writer without supervision for 20 SOPs or 8 MPIs a month

Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment is a plus

Ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines (simultaneously managing multiple documentation projects)

Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with a proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation

Excellent listening and observation skills

Well organized with meticulous attention to detail

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Basic/Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: A.A. Degree or 2 years of experience

Essential Qualifications:

Strong computer skills a must

Experience with MS Word, video and still imagery, and image editing software

Experience with manufacturing documentation or quality projects

Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings is a plus

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications:

Superior communication and interpersonal skills

Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against production deadlines and goals

Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure

Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)

Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook) preferred
