Brooklyn Steak is looking for a new member to complete our team! We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated Floor Manager to join our team and oversee daily operations on the restaurant floor. The Floor Manager will ensure the delivery of exceptional service, manage staff efficiently, and maintain a welcoming and smooth-running environment that upholds our reputation for excellence.
Brooklyn Steak is a classic, Modern Kosher Steakhouse located in the heart of Crown Heights, NY. The restaurant showcases the finest cuts from the land and the freshest catches from the sea, while successfully extending extraordinary cuisine and superior service to an array of palates.
Skills:
-Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining and developing guest relationships.
- Developing new solutions to meet client needs.
- Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Oversee daily floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Coordinate staff schedules and manage shift changes.
- Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients.
- Improving internal processes for better productivity.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Assist in the development and implementation of service standards and policies.
- Ensure the dining area is thoroughly cleaned, secure all premises, reconcile daily financial transactions, and complete end-of-day reports to ensure the restaurant is ready to close and secure for the next day's operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure necessary supplies are available.
- Maintaining a high level of hospitality
- Ensure staff compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
Requirements:
- At least 2-4 years' experience in a floor management position or similar capacity, within a high-volume upscale restaurant.
- Participate in taking and entering monthly inventory
- Ability to complete general computer-based tasks including spread sheets and emails
- General knowledge of Toast restaurant systems
- Excellent communication and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish, Hebrew, and/or Russian is highly advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
