With more than 240,000 hotels worldwide, TPG is driving innovation in the development and management of a highly complex and fast-moving inventory.Global Partner Marketing (GPM) is a newly formed organization that brings together what were formerly disparate B2B channel marketing functions (email, web, social, and events) into a single entity supported by an in-house creative team.We're looking for a Sr. Marketing Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to be part of a rapidly growing marketing infrastructure and automation team within GPM.We're progressing from "start-up" mode, aggressively building out our team with results-oriented goals to build a world class B2B marketing org that will drive the GPM goals of:
- Acquisition - adding new hotel partners
- Engagement - deepening the relationship we have with existing hotel partners
- Satisfaction - keeping hotel partners happy
- Efficiency - reducing the sales cycle and taking on tasks to give time back to our sales force (Market Management)
- Connected Integrations with third party solutions
- Functional utilities that provide point solutions to scale our operations
- Automated customer journeys including promotional and transactional emails in an omni-channel experience
- Programming of business rules and marketing triggers
- Personalization (use of tokens, snippets, velocity scripting, and custom data)
- Data ingestion / manipulation / augmentation / reporting
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing or development related field
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, particularly in using marketing technologies to deliver marketing content across multiple channels and drive operational efficiencies
- Demonstrable skills with Marketo or other marketing automation solutions (Pardot, HubSpot, Eloqua, Unica, etc.) as well as sales CRM such as Salesforce
- Server-side scripting (PHP - preferred)
- Databases and query languages (SQL)
- Restful APIs (consuming and creating)
- AWS (EC2, ELB, RDS, S3)
- Client-side scripting (Ajax/JQuery/Javascript)
- Shell and command language (Bash)
- Ability to take marketing concepts/requirements and translate them into functional specifications for developers and Salesforce admins
- Solid understanding of basic principles of data, how data is structured and organized, how it flows between systems, etc
- Must be able to self-direct and motivate, working independently with little oversight
- Evident understanding and practice of agile methods including use of sprints, backlog, user stories
- Ability to personally leverage API connections between connected systems from provisioning to execution to reporting of outcomes
