As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing HR operations across multiple states and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Your primary objective will be to implement policies and programs and foster an engaging work environment that aligns with our company values.Duties and Responsibilities:Recruitment and Hiring:
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates
Review resumes and applications, schedule and conduct interviews
Prepare and issue job offers and employment contracts
Manage onboarding process and conduct orientation for new hires
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and develop training programs to improve employee skills
Conduct training sessions for new employees and ongoing training for current employees
Develop career development plans and provide guidance to employees on career growth opportunities
Coordinate professional development opportunities
Employee Relations and Engagement:
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
Mediate conflicts between employees and managers
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations
Investigate and address employee complaints and concerns
Develop and implement programs to improve employee engagement and wellness
Coordinate wellness programs, such as health screenings and wellness challenges
Develop and implement employee recognition programs
Benefits Administration:
Manage employee benefits program, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding benefits
Coordinate annual enrollment and communicate any changes to employees
Assist employees with claims and issues related to benefits
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance management policies and procedures
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and assist managers with goal setting
Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary
Address employee grievances and disciplinary actions
HR Operations:
Manage day-to-day HR operations, such as responding to employee requests and maintaining HR systems
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to HR operations
Manage HR budget and expenses
Supervise HR staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management
Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:
Bilingual Spanish is required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HR Manager or HR Generalist role in a large organization with multi-state operations
Experienced in a Union environment a plus.
In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple states
Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Ability to travel to operating offices and/or job sites as needed at least 25% of the time
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly desirable
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiar with HRIS systems
