The position can be based in Kansas City, MO or Tulsa, OK.The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, design, operations, and management on a wide variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. They will also organize and manage the setup and design of large municipal infrastructure projects.Your Role:Act as the primary point of contact for major municipal clientsMarket existing and potential clients and assist in the preparation of proposalsPrepare and manage project budgets utilizing Tetra Tech's Project Management toolsEffectively lead multidisciplinary project teamsLead the planning, evaluation, and selection of preferred alternativesPerform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analysesProvide construction support services including meetings, site visits, etc. as needed.Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projectsEvaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplinesPerform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design teamAssist in municipal clients' business development activitiesSupervise and mentor entry-level engineersQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required, Master's is preferred12 years experience required, particularly as a Civil/Environmental Project ManagerRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Missouri, Kansas or Oklahoma requiredValid Driver's License with and acceptable driving recordProgressive experience in the evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systemsDemonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilitiesExperience in client relations and business development; local client experience requiredLeader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written technical report preparationA bout Tetra TechTetra Tech combines the resources of a global, multibillion-dollar company with local, client-focused delivery in more than 550 locations around the world.
